Introduction to Architectural Drawing
Sunday 5th December, 10.30am-1.30pm
Catherine is part of a multidisciplinary group show Hardenvale : Our home is Absurbia, with Todd Fuller and Kellie O'Dempsey. Unfortunately due to covid-19 lock downs, the show is unable to travel and exhibit in Tamworth Regional Gallery as planned. However the wonderful artists are presenting the public program which is a great opportunity for our community.
Catherine is a leading Australian artist, who is best known for her drawing practice that aims to elevate the commonly disregarded dwellings of suburbia. Her work is held in the Art Gallery of NSW, Parliament House Art Collection, many regional galleries and private collections both internationally and locally. She has been awarded many prizes and residencies including the prestigious Terrence & Lynette Fern Cité Internationale des Arts Fellowship in 2017 where she studied the architecture of housing projects in Paris and London. She also teaches drawing at the National Art School Sydney.
Catherine is keen to offer a workshop introducing participants to architectural drawing. During this workshop, participants will work with tone and perspective to examine the buildings in our local environment.
