WEEK 1

Wednesday 2 October-           Danny Stanley: Drawing

Danny Stanley loves drawing! Join artist Danny in learning some of the fundamental building blocks to drawing in this exciting and informative class. With years of experience in teaching all age groups, Danny will present a class which tackles some of the major skills required for drawing realistically and well - such as perspective, proportions and colour - in a fun, easy language and engaging format. Students will experiment with different mediums, and will draw and paint beautiful objects such as plants and fruit from life. You may wish to enter your works in this prize.

10.00am-11.00am            5-7 year old workshop ($10 per student)

12.00pm-1.30pm              8-12 year old workshop ($15 per student)

 

Thursday 3 October-                 Andrea Bruno: Clay Sculpture

In this workshop, Andrea will show you techniques and new and familiar materials to create your own imaginative sculptural masterpieces to take home on the day. You will be using clay making techniques with kid friendly clay, so be sure to wear clothes suitable for messy art making!

Friday 4 October-           Danny Stanley: How to draw portraits like a pro

Join artist Danny Stanley in learning to draw the human face. Children will learn fundamental skills of drawing and painting faces from life, and from photographs. A great class for beginners and returnees alike; drawing faces is a prized skill for all artists. This class will give attendees the chance to study the faces of classmates, before embarking on a project of a final watercolour portrait of a famous person. Children are also welcome to bring in a photo of their choosing with which to create their portraits.

WEEK 2

Wednesday 9 October-           Sophie Honess: Weaving

Sophie's amazing weaving is colourful and creative! In this workshop, use new and recycled materials to create your very own weaving masterpiece to take home on the day. Sophie will encourage you to make your own designs based on your favourite colours. These workshops are always very popular so book now!

Thursday 10 October-           Emma Stilts: Clay and wire creative creatures

Create your own crazy critters at this workshop with artist Emma Stilts. In this workshop you will be able to make an imagined creature using clay, wire, beads, buttons, sparkles and more!

Friday 11 October-                 Kate Armstrong: Screen printing bags

Design your very own reusable bags at this workshop! Show your new creations off to your friends, take them shopping, as a Library bag, or even give them as a gift! At the end of the workshop you will have your very own uniquely designed bag to take home with you!
