As part of 'Take me home to Tamworth' exhibition, join country music legend Uncle Roger Knox free concert.

Known as the ‘Black Elvis’, Roger Knox is a commanding presence in the First Nations country music community. He was influenced by Slim Dusty and First Nations country singers Col Hardy and Jimmy Little, and joined Brian Young’s first national tour in 1981 that criss-crossed Australia by light plane. Roger survived two airplane crashes and was severely burned, before recovering and launching the First Nations music boom of the 1980s with the Euraba Band.

Kamilaroi/Gomeroi man Roger Knox  will perform in its entirety, his new and as yet unreleased album – a deadly Cultural Country performance.
