the art of giving

The Tamworth Regional Gallery Collection was established in 1919 to support access to art in the country.
Generous offers from donors ensure the continuing development of the Tamworth Regional Gallery Collection. Artworks can be acquired into the collection in the form of a donation, bequest, purchase or cultural gift.

All offers are considered in the context of the Tamworth Regional Gallery Collection Policy, provenance, existing collection holdings, conservation requirements and storage constraints. The gallery is always interested in discussing any potential donations.

A significant portion of the Tamworth Regional Gallery Collection has been funded through the dedication and support of the Tamworth Regional Gallery Friends.

Tamworth Regional Gallery is endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office as a Deductible Gift Recipient. Many works in the gallery’s collection have been acquired through the assistance of the Cultural Gift Program.
