Join exhibiting artists from the 6th Tamworth Textile Triennial, Nature Machine, for a curator-led panel discussion exploring the opportunities and challenges presented by emerging technologies in contemporary textile practice.

From digital design and smart materials to AI-assisted creativity, the panel will consider how new technologies are transforming textile making and how audiences experience and understand textile art. The discussion will also reflect on the enduring importance of craftsmanship, creativity and human knowledge, asking what happens when traditional making practices meet rapidly evolving technology.

Hear directly from artists working at the intersection of textiles, technology and contemporary creative practice, and gain insight into the ideas, processes and possibilities shaping the future of textiles.

Whether you are an artist, maker, designer, textile enthusiast or simply curious about how technology is changing creative practice, this discussion offers an opportunity to explore what the future might look like when nature, machines and human creativity intersect.
