Official Opening Event: Bush Lines

Join us for the official opening of Bush Lines at Tamworth Regional Gallery and connect with Australia’s regional and remote landscapes through works from the collections of the Art Gallery of New South Wales and the Tamworth Regional Gallery. 

Bush Lines presents works by Australian artists that express our connections to the vast range of regional and remote landscapes in this country.

Drawing from the collections of the Art Gallery of New South Wales and Tamworth Regional Gallery, where the exhibition is presented, Bush Lines features paintings, sculpture, video and photography by artists whose creativity takes us on journeys from Gundagai to Broken Hill, the Central Desert to the Torres Strait Islands.

See these places through the eyes of historical and contemporary artists including luminaries such as Shaun Gladwell, Lorraine Connelly-Northey and the late Rosemary Laing. Though diverse, the works in the exhibition share universal themes of joy, connectedness and sustainability.
