Walaaybaa (HOME) 

Official Opening - Friday 30 October at 11am

Walaaybaa (Home) was developed with local schools and the Kamilaroi community as part of the program Home: Aboriginal art from New South Wales.

The Home Program is a collaboration between the Art Gallery of New South Wales, NSW Department of Education’s Arts & Initiatives Unit, individuals from the Wiradjuri community at Wagga Wagga and Aboriginal communities and regional galleries across NSW. It connects schools to local Aboriginal artists, communities, languages and cultures. In 2026 the program was realised on Kamilaroi/Gomeroi country at Tamworth Regional Gallery, on Kamilaroi/Gomeroi country at Bank Art Museum Moree and country of the Yuin people and associated clans, who are Dhurga and Dharawal language speakers, at Shoalhaven Regional Gallery.
