Wear It Purple Youth Karaoke Party
Friday, 29 August, 6pm - 9pm
In collaboration with Tamworth Pride Inc
Wear It Purple Day was originally founded by students in response to global stories of teenagers taking their own lives due to bullying and harassment. Becoming an international movement of love and support, wearing it purple demonstrates to rainbow young people that they are seen, celebrated and respected, acknowledging that all have the right to be proud of who they are and who they are becoming.
Wear It Purple and come celebrate with us, as we join forces with Tamworth Pride to hold a karaoke party for the youth in our community. Starting the night off in the studio with food & cake, we'll then crank the volume and let our young people shine as they sing along to their favourite ballads.
This is an all ages and alcohol-free event. There is no cost for this event, but please wear something purple to support our rainbow youth. Join us as we come together to show our young people that they have a supportive community here in Tamworth - for they are our future!
When: Friday, 29 August, 6pm - 9pm
Age: This is an all ages, alcohol-free event. Children need to be supervised.
Cost: FREE
The Tamworth Regional Gallery is fully accessible, and offers free and accessible parking - located behind the building, accessed via Peel or Hill St.
