Tour Guide Training
for the 2023 Archibald Prize Exhibition

Wednesday May 8, 2024 1-2pm 

Facilitated by Sarah Murray from the Art Gallery of NSW, Tamworth Regional Gallery are excited to offer an opportunity Tour Guide Training for the upcoming 2023 Archibald Prize exhibition.

It will expand your knowledge and provide insights into the inner workings of the Archibald Prize – how it is judged, how it is curated, and how it is toured and received by audiences

With this information, learn how to confidently deliver an engaging guided tour. Participants will learn how to curate exhibition information into a personalised tour.

No prior knowledge of art history or guiding is required. By attending this training, participants may choose to consider becoming a gallery volunteer guide. 

This workshop will be delivered via zoom. Participants can join us in the Gallery for the group training or join virtually.
