The Picasso Guitar is getting wrapped – in yarn!
Sunday 13 July, from 11am
Bicentennial Park, Fitzroy St Tamworth
Get ready for a bold burst of colour and creativity as we unveil the Yarnbombing Project Finale
Part of Hats Off to Country Festival!
See the iconic Picasso Guitar sculpture in Bicentennial Park, Tamworth, transformed in a riot of colour for the Yarnbombing Project Finale as part of the Hats Off to Country Festival as a collaborative project between Arts North West and Tamworth Regional Gallery.
This bold, community-created fibre art installation wraps the sculpture in vibrant, handwoven yarn pieces made by people from Tamworth, Moree, Armidale and Narrabri as well as contributors from across the New England North West.
Join us from 11.00am Sunday 13 July for live music by Tamworth songstress Carly Robinson, interactive crochet and knitting, and warm drinks and soup available for purchase.
A joyful, free and family-friendly celebration of creativity, connection and cultural pride.
